11 today. I decided to keep the coop door open since Empress keeps escaping anyway. 2 of her friends decided to join in on the fun but come time to dispense cabbage they decided that the great outdoors wasn't as attractive. I'm glad they did as it started sprinkling shortly thereafter.

7 eggs today! The ladies were on high alert for some reason tonight. They were squawking and had their necks stretched out. Didn’t see anything, but I still trust their instinct. Probably a critter of some kind. They all are safe in their hen house with the door closed. Sounded like WWE wrestling in there. I need to expand the hen house!

4 eggs were laid from 4 hens but Debbie’s egg had a weak shell and was flattened and eaten. Now that I know who it is I can pop her some calcium!

1 from mum of 7 pullets, 2 of which just turned 18wks old, now laying daily, 4 from their 5 *15 1/2 wk old sisters..
My babies started laying at 14wks old
Nearly time to start selling eggs
