How soon can I feed the newborn?

This may seem like a silly question, but here goes...I'm new to hatching.

I know chicks can go for a few days without eating once they hatch, but how soon CAN I put some chick starter in the brooder. Is 2 hours old too soon?

(I had to take it out of the bator due to a poor design)

I have NEVER hatched out chicks before, so take my advice with a grain of salt........

My first thought is Sure! Why not? S/he will eat it if s/he's hungry, won't if not. But agin, I am not an expert on less-than-a-day old chicks.

There is no too soon

They don't have to eat for two days, but the sooner the better.
