32.) Smilies can be used to express unexplainable emotions such as "celebrate"
celebrate.gif
, "amazed"
ep.gif
, or "happy"

, but please avoide intimidating smilies such as

or
tongue.gif
whenever possible. Please nice and enjoy endless fun here @ BYC.

Absolutely check out the Buckeye thread if you want a dual purpose Heritage breed!! Another word of advise, stay away from the Ducks part of BYC. Period. You think that chickens are addictive, there is no cure for Duck Fever (or Waterfowl Fever either because geese get to you just as bad). LOL!! Have fun on here and let us know when you get your chicks!!

Hi! I can't figure out how to post my question in the right category.... so I thought i'd stick one here and maybe someone can reply with advice. I want to get 2 or 3 chickens (& build coop,, etc...) for our suburban back yard, but i'd like to know how much time and money the ongoing care will take. Can a person still travel for a weekend here & there? Are you basically committed to stay home for the first 6 months anyway? Daily, what does the routine look like? Do the chickens suffer much from a day or two without play time with people? (we've got a 1 year old puppy and a cat .... and a 3 year old ...). Thanks a lot for advice!
