If you're sure the run is completely 100% predator proof, it doesn't matter a ton if they go into the coop. They likely will on their own unless there's an outlying reason, but we leave our pop doors open all of the time unless there is inclement weather, so they can take full advantage of outdoor time as they please. They all go inside, unless one is being bullied, or in my case right now there's a broody hen in the corner of the run by the wall like a weirdo. Then they pop out first thing in the morning.
