I know not all of you have 5 giant dogs or 2 young kits but I went through several lists and complied my own and thought it would surely help someone.

Hurricane Packing Kit

Food Supplies
 1 gal. of water per person for 3-7 days
 Ice
 Shelf-packaged Juice
 Beverages (powdered, canned, instant)
 Prepared foods (canned soups, spaghetti, tuna, ham, Spam, Vienna Sausage)
 Snacks (Pudding, cookies, hard candies, nuts)
 Canned vegetables and fruits
 Dried fruits
 Snack spreads (peanut butter, jelly, cheese)
 Cereals
 Bread

Kitchen Supplies
 Manual Can Opener
 Matches / Lighter
 Pocket Knife
 Ice Chest/Cooler
 Paper plates/napkins
 Plastic cups, knives, forks, spoons

Baby Needs
 Disposable Diapers
 Wipes
 Diaper-rash ointment
 Baby meds (Rxs, Tylenol, etc)
 Toys, books, games to entertain kids

Medical Needs
 Insect repellent
 Feminine hygiene items
 Insect bite lotion
 Sunscreen
 Soap
 Shampoo
 Toothpaste / toothbrushes
 Deodorant
 Toiletpaper
 Prescriptions
 First-Aid Kit (Bandages, Tape, Q-Tips, Tweezers)
 OTC Meds (Tylenol, Benadryl, Diarrhea, etc)
 Disinfectant – (Spray Lysol and/or liquid handgel)


Pets
 Grocery bags (pick up poo)
 Food/Water (1 wks worth)
 Crates/Cages
 Leashes/Collars for each animal
 Photo/Immunization Records (Rabies)/ Any meds
 Bark collar & muzzles if needed

 Copies of House, Car, and Life Insurance
 Medical Records / Insurance Card
 Bank Account Info/Number
 Social Security Numbers for all Family members
 Repeat from above – Rabies certificates for all pets

Hardware/Tools
 Generator
 Fuel
 Hand tools (Hammer, screwdrivers, shovels)
 Rope (For tying down items at home and during travel)
 Good working gloves (For hauling limbs upon return)
 Duct tape
 Tarps
 Nails (For possible home repair after the storm)

 Garbage bags (For clean up while evacuated and upon return)

Wow, very thorough and well done. My first thought was OMG I would have so forgot the tampons! You really thought of everything.

redhen, you should be able to copy and paste it to a word document and print it from there if nothing else.
