Hurricane prep?

Do I lock them up or let them decidd what to do during a tropical storm/hurricane?

When Hurricane Lane passed us ever so slowly (Aug 22 - 25), I locked mine up in the brooder in the patio. They enjoyed it until they realized it's not as roomy (3 x 8 x 2) as their Chicken House (8 x 12 x 7) which flooded on one side. Kept them in for 3 days before the rain subsided some, shoveled out the soaked shavings, adding new stuff & kept moving it around to absorb & help dry out. Finally dried out, Tue/Wed we got Olivia passing, I hope. I picked up 4 bales & extra bag of feed ... All our groceries & supplies are shipped, shipping & deliveries were stopped, businesses closed down thru the weekend and then some.
