I know dad is either a Java or a Barred Rock.... mother could be one of about four breeds or sex-link?

I'm guessing that the Java is the dad.
This is why: I have a Cuckoo Marans roo, and that barred pattern is pretty dominant. I've hatched out probably 2 dozen chicks with him as the father over: EE, RIR, WR, BR, CM, white and black leghorns and all but 1 chick hatched and grew up barred. The one chick that didn't hatched white with black spots and grew out white.

The most popular answer I got for my chipmunk bebe was OEGB so I'll go with that. Or maybe you have an EE - I know the legs aren't green but my bebe's started out "regular" yellowish-orange then turned green later.

My red sex links (2nd generation) came out looking like that. Second generation red sex links dont hold to the colors very well. Im going with java, and 2nd generation.
