Oh, yes! From the musical "Sweet Charity", scene where the taxi dance girls are luring customers. I used to use that as an audition song back in my (Loooong ago) theatrical days. Got me a lot of parts in musicals, it's such fun to play with. "Hey, big spender! Spend...a little time with me!"Anyone else remember the hit tune "Hey Big Spender". May not be the actual title but that was the key to the song.
How do I get this thing out of second gear? lolz
My grandmothers' other fave besides Lawrence Welk! They also loved The King Family Singers; Mom used to joke that anyone who wanted to marry into that clan had to pass a singing audition first!I remember Guy Lombardo and his Band?
Brought to you (of course!) by Geritol! Do they even make that stuff any more???I remember View attachment 3659886
I remember EVERY dry cleaners shop had a gumball machine! Nice cash sideline as mothers gave us coins to keep us busy while waiting to turn in/pick up Dad's suits at the cleaners.I remember Penny Candy machines giving handfuls of gumballs instead of just one.
I remember her, too, and she used to board her Hackney Pony at the Bob Lewis training stables in Porlota Valley, CA. I never met her, but I did get to see her pony being worked.I remember Miss Kitty....
I never took the car driven test, just the written test.I remember when people had to actually know how to drive in order to get a driver's license.
You reminded me of the Coneheads!!! I've just wasted a half hour of my life searching (to no avail) for my favorite SNL Conehead skit, where they toss rings onto each others' heads to have sex. HilariousLilly Tomlin as Ernestine.
One ringy dingy...
