Cursive needs to be taught at home if it isn't being taught at school. When I compare the handwriting of my grandparents / great-grandparents to my own ...I can see how far man has fallen behind in both skill and aptitude. I've spent years writing a weather diary, all in cursive and even bought a handmade timber pen!

When I attended community college I was the only student who could write in cursive. I was also one of the few who turned in assignments on notepaper instead of Microsoft Word.

I am glad that cursive is back for the 2023-2024 school year. The idiots must have realized that kids need to know cursive.

Really? I didn’t think they’d have enough sense - whenever I go into schools it’s always, “get your Chromebooks out”.

The worst grade I got in 12 years of school was a D+ one period for handwriting. My mother about had a hissy fit. The thing is my teacher was also her teacher....
