I'm so old I Remember when:

We have an air base not far away. When the jets fly over they are so low I almost think I can see the pilot inside. They look like they barely miss the tree tops and are so loud. If I am outside I cover my ears. They always seem to fly in 3's.
Y’all make me jealous :D!

When these started percolating it made the kitchen smell so good!
I haven't seen one in a long time.

I grew up(for 7 years) less than 2 miles from Cleveland Hopkins airport. I can do without airplane noise

We used frozen waffles for my son. The fact that is was frozen felt good on his gums and it fed him at the same time
I still eat frozen waffles

I worked in Grand Rapids, MI. When President Ford died, we got on the roof of the building where we worked and watched the Blue Angels (I think) fly over and do the "Missing Man" formation. We had the best seat in the city to see it, for commoners, anyway.

I had a teething ring or two that lived in the freezer. When my teething baby was fussy, I gave him that to suck and chew on. It really seemed to help, and no drugs were required. There are also teething biscuits. Messy, but helpful.
I used frozen orange slices. Always worked a charm... definitely messy though!
