I remember the slogan but I don't think we ever had a tail.In the 60's ESSO had a "Put a tiger in your tank" ad campaign. You could get these "tiger tails" to put around your gas cap and hang out. (I couldn't talk them into buying the long one.)

ESSO was a big thing in my family. My Grandfather and His Dad both worked at the huge Baton Rouge Refinery.I remember the slogan but I don't think we ever had a tail.
