Integrating younger chickens

If they have their feathers, they are fine. I put mine outside a little after mostly feathered. I'm on the gulf coast though, so cold is 60°F.

Wow! What a great setup. I am limited in how many chickens I can have here, so this will be it for quite a while. I’ll definitely have to look into something like this should the situation arise in the future. Thanks!

The one thing I see, is if a chicken is in that run area, there are no hideouts other than the coop. A chicken can see all of the other chickens all of the time. I would add some pallets or boxes or pieces of plywood or other clutter.

With chicks that age, I would put them out there immediately, and I would create one way fences, so that the chicks can get out with the older birds, but escape to a safe place if it is too rough. In a week, the flock will have worked this out on their terms.
