International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

They both look like cockerels to me. More like Bob and Jerry. But they're looking good for their age. :)

They hatched the same time so they are both the same age so I again assume lol Gina is a she because she just hasn't developed the same and her comb is pretty yellow with very little wattle . Perhaps a slow developer ? Bob def act more roo like but he's well mannered so far ofcourse and he's looking after the other girls already ,he's a good boy .

Some cockerels do develop slower than others. Its comb is too big to look like a pullet to me for its age.

at that age they can be anything. if gina is she (I also vote a girl) she will have nice hackles. I hope she will not turn out to be a slow developer cockerel.

I tried to get some pictures this morning. None of them are very good. It's next to impossible to get decent pictures with the geese playing body guard and circling me lol. My 6 boys and 4 girls...

This boy is one of my favorites, unfortunately, he has a coronation comb.

They look great. Very nice.... love the long backs. The coronation comb bird looks like a game bird to me, very high up on leg. The cockerels look so good, can't wait to see them in the future. Excellent tail angle and long backs, just what I need. The pullets are lovely too!
