International Black Copper Marans Thread - Breeding to the SOP

Jasper is in with Storm Jade and Violet. None of them have White foot feathers.

hens shows less parasitic white compare to the rooster ,must be sex linked thing .
good to have all the 4 breeders free from any white . expecting great result from them .
I want to make sure which of the 3 hens is Jasper s daughter? or sister?

Storm is sister or 1/2 sister to Jasper. Jade and Viotet are daughters.

A few pics of the Easter hatch Marans. All 11 weeks old now. Split wing still seems to be an issue with this hatch, but I will wait to see what a full molt does down the road with the chosen ones.

good to know .so we are line breeding Jasper . if any recessive genes are hidden they will show up . but what I can see is a lot great traits will be passed down . looking forward to see they chicks .
if Jasper throw a nice cockerel from this mating than you can retire him ,replace him with his son .

gorgeous body type ,long /wide and super chunky .I do not see any split wing on the cockerel .they look to me they holding they wing close to they body .
I don t like the copper on the cockerel look more golden to me .maybe just a light ?

@BenTN

this pullet is absolutely sublime , every thing is correct about her . type ,size ,plumage type ,head ,eyes ,feet ,tail ,back , every thing is perfect . make sure you keep her well safe , do what ever needed to keep her safe , she will grow to a stunning hen .
she is a perfect example of SOP so I don t need to write nothing about her conformation , she is finely bred specimen . BRAVO

There are still some BC cockerels in the 3rd and 4th hatch. One from Blaze and Pearl that isn't mossy. I will be moving that hatch in a couple weeks. I will get pictures then.
