Chooksman, I know we where really needing BC. Unfortunately I only had 1 BC hatch so far. There are 2 splash and the rest BLC. There are still unhatched eggs but not sure if anymore will hatch. So that would mean only 2 BC from both hatches from Jasper and his gals.

nothing we can do about it . we have a lot BC from
blaze to select from . I like Blaze s progeny any way .

your cockerel and pullet have a nice feathered shanks . the cockerel has more than a pullet .

the cockerel is a good type .good mass. and nice flat long back .nice coppery feathers coming along .that great.

the pullet is far I can not see her hackle ,need a good photos of them close up from different angle .

It is not a cuckoo marans. It got barring from the legbar roo. It’s an EE, with a “designer” name called the Marsbar. (MARans/LegBAR)

I thought this chick that hatched a week ago was a Splash. Surprise!!! I am not a Splash! So that was the lightest BLC chick that I have ever seen feathering in a nice blue though. Funny all the other chicks hatched from Jade where fine. Just this oddball!
