Hello everyone!
I have got my first black copper marans ever (she was meant to be a golden cuckoo, but never mind) and I was wondering what how close to standed she is.
Could anyone help be out?

Thank you!
And I completely agree about her needing to do more growing, but I just wanted to get an idea.
I'm glad that she is at least looking along the right lines, so to speak.
I am in the south-east, not that far from the snowy mountains, but I got the pullet from Tasmanian, in the form of fertile eggs.
They were all meant to be Golden Cuckoo, but come out in a surprising about of colours.

Thanks Chooks Man, I was hoping you would like him. Here we are all over again. I have three hens (I will post pictures). There is a great disparity in size between the hens and this cockerel. The hens are small.

That is stunning colour good shape too. Just to make it clear now you have 2 BLCM hens laying very dark eggs?
Well happy for you.

I collected these this morning. The two largest eggs are the darkest. One with some spots and one without spots.

any chooks line if inbred for a long time without strict selection will loose size ,it is the first thing to go .
if all of them are from LP line then we have to find way to cross them toanother line ,maybe @marchick line or some one else we know they marans ,
