These are, as far as I can tell, from Hendrix Genetics, not a breed but a strain developed by them.I'm getting 2 azure blues in September and in doing research on them, I cNt figure out if they are an actual breed of their own, or a hatchery cross. Anyone know?
X2 They appear to be a pure strain but I don't think they can qualify as a breed unless there are multiple breeders. These are, as far as I can tell, from Hendrix Genetics, not a breed but a strain developed by them.

Another line is the Noirans (dark brown eggs) which is a cross between the Marans and other local French breeds, at the Hendrix R&D facility in France.
They also produce the SASSO lines that are becoming popular in many parts of the world. I was thinking of getting some Azur but now leaning towards the SASSO Irona as they are a dual purpose and chicks from them are feather sexing.
