I have some.pullets they are a mix Bantum Brama / Silky that will be quite broody once they start to lay. I am in Georgia the pullets are 13 weeks old they are a project mixed breed and will go broody several times a year. If you are interested let me know.

I'm interested in the silky mix, will they lay on other chickens eggs?

Yes they will brood other eggs. As long as there in a broody state they will sit on whatever you put under them. These mixes go broody about three times a year and make excellent mother's for.any chicks. Once.they start to lay and brood take there eggs out from under them and.replace with the ones you want.to hatch.

It doesn't work they way you're thinking. Most will set eggs but even if brooding when you buy, by the time you ship, they're over it
