ISO Buff Silkies- eggs/chicks

So I'm on the search for good quality stock of Buff Silkies, I understand that you dont know if an egg or chick will be show quality. With that being said I'd like to purchase eggs or chicks from someone who shows Buffs. I have some from one breeder but would like another line as well, I REALLY want to show next year (I'd like to show this year but finding eggs/chicks is already proving hard so I doubt I'll find adults). I printed off ABA point lists and seen master breeder lists, I have found some of those people on FB and thought about messaging them to inquire but I dont want to seem creepy or rude to just "cold call" someone, opinions on messaging someone out of the blue? Am I right to re think doing that or do you think as long as I'm nice about it the worst they can say is no?
Any opinions or references would be appreciated! But I would really like to buy from someone who shows, or used to show ect. Not just some person that is breeding 2 random birds together because they can.
