I'm looking to establish a breeding population of Nankin Bantam Single Comb, although I may take Rose Comb and establish a population of them. I will also take chicks or birds if they are close enough. I raised Nankins before and love the breed and would like to establish a breeding population due to their critical status. It appears that they are harder to find than when I raised them last time.

There's a nankin poultry group on mewe - search for that. I'm considering whether to branch out to RC nankins. I'm in Virginia and when I search for breeders, it shows nankins are somehow connected to Colonial Williamsburg. Kinda nifty. Simone is in Florida though.

Colonial Williamsburg has Nankins as part of their heritage breed conservation program. You can e-mail them, but be patient about getting a response. It takes a looooooooong time, but is worth the wait.
If you're willing to start out with a couple of roos, I have several available - mostly rose comb, but one really nice single comb who took Best Bantam at the Cecil County Fair, last year. He would have gone farther, but he didn't want to pose for the judge ... and she seriously tried!

I found a few sources and have chicks and eggs in the incubator. I will definitely contact Colonial Williamsburg, but I may take you up on the your offer in a couple months time if they are still available. I'm looking to breed and possibly show, but I don't want a couple growth roosters and in with some started chicks. Unless they aren't that far along.

They range from one to three years old - and they're all very good-natured. Unless they find a safe place to land, The Boys have a home for life, so keep us in mind!

I'm on the tail end of a cold, but I may be able to pick them up in a week or so. I see your profile is northeast Maryland. Do you have any other breeds available in hatching eggs or chicks to make the trip more worth the time? I'll pay. I know its a bad time of year for it, but I already have some nakins, cochin and silkie bantams as well as an assortment of Pavlovskaya in my incubator. I also have plenty of room in my brooder, because as I tend to do I over engineer and build big so I don't have to build again. So a few more won't hurt. Pictures of my Brooder:
