I’d try to give them to my picky EE Bennu to see if she gives them the “Bennu approved award.” No one has managed to get it from her yet. I’m still looking for a treat she will eat.

I’d give extra treats to my little Easter egger Dandelion, she’s had a very rough go of it, was sickly as a chick and growing up was weaker, and is still very timid of the others but thriving and laying eggs now. Just gotta work on that confidence.

Elegance (Ellie) would love the extra treats! She's always been the smallest and definitely bottom of the pecking order. She's learned to stick close so I can offer her some by hand while the others are scrambling for what I tossed.

My OE Frizzle Marigold: You have never seen a chicken go as wild for treats as she does. If there's even a chance you might have mealworms, you will find her running to you as fast as those chicken legs can carry her. Nobody loves a good treat like Marigold, and no treat stands a chance when she's around to do anything about it.

Our young rooster Prince Charles definitely deserves these treats!
He's had to play second-fiddle to the big rooster Loki for too long, but he's learning from Loki how to be nice to the hens and protect them. Soon the new pullets will be grown up and Charles will have his own flock, but in the meantime he's still patiently waiting to assume his throne.
