how often do your roos turn mean. I had one and somebody told me they were very aggressive but he was very gentle. Sadly i had to sell him this past weekend because i have way to many chickens. i could of kept him but i had no mate for him. anyway, if somebody could let me know i would greatly appreciate it.

I have only been raising them for about 3 years and have only had one that acted like he wanted to be mean, but never really carried it through. They can be protective when you're messing with their ladies, but otherwise no problems

i have a white roo and a btw roo. both in their own pens with their own ladies and they have never acted mean or aggressive. but they are alot wilder acting compared to my oegb's.

Is there a certain pattern for the color mottled to be S.Q.? Or is it simply white scattered on black? thanks

It is a very specific pattern that is specified in the Standard of Perfection for all mottled breeds. Don't have my copy right now, but includes like one of three feathers tipped in white on one part of body, one of two tipped in white elsewhere, etc. I should have this memorized, but can't remember it right now.

so then I guess it's splash that is not very specific. But you cant show splash, correct?
