Any ideas on keeping the food dry out in the run. I have a galvanized feeder. I have been covering it at night but now here I am at work and it is raining. I know the food is going to be mush when I get home

I think my first question would be do you have feed in their coop for them? Why just the run if not? Is your run covered or open at the top? Pics would be nice...

You can construct a simple, covered, feeding station in the run - something as basic as cinder blocks and a **** of wood, plastic, tin, etc. Even easier might be simply to use the "no waste" bucket feeders you DIY

Yes I just have food in the run. When the weather gets cold in the fall I will move it to the coop. I will make a lid/ table to go over it to keep it dry. Thanks
