That spur is at least 5 years old (I got him and the original pheonixes 5 years ago when a 4H friend was leaving the project). They're likely older though since he had them when I got him.

Anyone want to guess it's length? I'll measure when I get home so there's plenty of time ro think up a guess

His are on the smaller scale here actually. Ambrose, my old, old, old flock master has spurs that are almost 10 years old.

My Spanish rooster I lost this fall had spurs that went past his leg (they were monitored closely to make sure they were still safe while growing there)

Dwight had little curved ones but his were angled poorly and had to be trimmed a few timed in theb3 years I had him because they were trying to grow into his leg. At least he was friendly enough to handle like that
