We had a power outage at my work today for about 30 minutes. My manager was hoping that it wouldn't turn back on so that we all could go home

yep me and most of my LGBTQ+ friends are in therapy because we've attempted/considered suicide, luckily where I live most people are supportive of our community. Plus being BIPOC on top of LGBTQ+ is hard, literally got all the odds stacked against me

Felt that last part. Just being a minority in this country makes you a target for just about everything. I’m thankful that CA is as progressive as it is tbh.

I nearly took my life years ago when I was around 15 or 16 due to bullying because of me liking girls. Very thankful for my parents preventing me from doing so.

I am very thankful that they did too.
