Little Coop in the Big Woods...

I finally got my Buckeye chicks moved out of the brooder this weekend into their new coop! Boy are they happy. They're able to run, spread their wings and get to act more like chickens.

The coop looks great! I ended up having a low budget job done with salvaged wood and my one big complaint is that I don't get to start with the pretty "new wood" look

Excellent! You'll love having storage in there. You may find that you need a bit more ventilation in the summer months, though, unless there is more than the vent over the door plus the window. The more, the better!

....I'll continue to update photos as the project progresses.

I'll definately add more ventilation, I was planning on big closeable openings near floor level for the summer month cross breezes. Also another window in the door.
