Local feed stores

I don't know why, but it just popped up in my head, does anyone know what happens to live poultry not sold at local feed stores? I would think there would be some unsold poultry left.

At my local feedstore they lower the price and upgrade the brooders the older they get : D

Most of the time they sell out fast though! They were sold out the day they got them last year. The clerks were telling people to line up outside before they opened if they wanted to get certain breeds.
If they don't, they drop the price until they sell. Eventually someone takes them. I often wondering this abbot meat birds though. Lots of people want egg layers, but not everyone wants Cornish X.
