losing feathers

my sitting hen has lost all the feathers around her neck and some on her back. What is the cause? new chicken owner.

...sounds like a molt to me if you are sure that it isnt the roo

Another cause might be that one of the others is picking her feathers. When Penny sets, Obelisk starts picking...so I get a naked neck part time. But it sounds to me like a roo.

:cdThanks for the info. She acts fine but looks a little strange. She sat on the nest for over 2 weeks and hatched 4 chicks. Chickens are cool!
