What fats did you end up using for the soap? The boiling out definitely would have affected the final product.Doesn't lather well, texture was off. Works. I had an issue with the lye water - some boiled out when I agitated it, which thru off the ratios. Natural soap recipes (all recipes, I assume) are VERY sensative to the amount of lye for saponification.
When I'm done the 10 remaining bars, I'll do it again, using my failures to improve on the process.
Almost entirely goat tallow. Did use a bit of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and not enough corn syrup. The sugar and salt were to improve hardness and lather. What fats did you end up using for the soap? The boiling out definitely would have affected the final product.
