I will probably go to the effort of scalding my birds as well. It's been about a year since I've butchered one of mine young enough to be good for something other than stew stock soup or sausage

Howdy Neighbor-ish (you are a bit more than four hours East of me)! that;s a LOT of reading (and more than a few segue).

This is the latest hatch, as of 8 days ago

Tomorrow, White Bird and Black bird go away, likely some of the others. There will be a close look in effort to ensure not more than one male remains.

I don't have any recent "group" photos - they almost never group, except when its too dark for photos.

the Brahma and the silver lace are original to the flock. There is probably a 3-year-old golden Comet or two in the photo as well

For those wonndering about which incubator I use? Its a well reviewed , rather reliable, "budget" model. TY to @Iluveggers for starting that thread. More than happy to add a link to drive traffic.
