Mallards found the bayou yesterday (3pics)

by accident.

I was sitting on this old boat out by the water, ducks were up on the bank hanging out. All of a sudden a heron flew up on a log & my poor babies came flying over to me.

They landed in real shallow water & they were scared then they figured out real quick ohh, this is nice.

The heron is to the right of the geese on the log.

Here's another one of them on our bank. They were unsure of me getting into that scary canoe.

It's really nice weather now, bugs aren't nearly as bad.
I took the mallards back down this morning & they got chased by my Pekins Those Pekins came up on the bank & chased them, poor duckies. So they headed back to hang with the chickens.
