Let’s face it, if I had that flexibility, I would do the same.
I get screamed @ a lot. Wrold attacks.Wow, the broodies at our place are nowhere near so gentle!
I am met with screams and flaring neck feathers, and if I get too close, pecks!!
It helps. It's one reason I have chicks just now. I'd love to give Wrold eggs but it's not really feasible yet.Having now thought about it, because it's very sandy it might hold its shape better than other substrates. It might not need misting. But it will be very dry.
There's a temptation to give her a few fertile eggs now that the run is set up properly.
Another factor is that I can't let Janet struggle on like she does. She's in penguin pose more than she's out of it. It's getting very near time to say goodbye.
So a clutch may be well-timed.

She’s doing well and is sharp as a tack! She’s also the most independent chicken I’ve ever met; she doesn’t mind her own company. She also yells bloody murder at 6am because she knows I’ll let her out and give her oats! She's looking well Loz!
