Modern Game Bantams?

I was wonderin if some of the folks that show or breed for show birds could answer a question... I have a brown red hen that her tail is always lightly to medium fanned, showing 2-3 feathers, instead of pinched tight...is that a big deal genetically? I notice all the winning hens I see have their tails pinched as tightly as possible...is a fanned tail a problem?

Yes it is a problem and it is genetic if she is doing more often than not. Sometimes they fan their tail when excited but when she is resting or especially in a show coop, her tail should be whipped.
