A side pic of the bird standing is best. That makes it easier to see the birds carriage/normal stance.

He is very scared. you can tell he was hardly handled before we got him, and my son wants to show him in 4H badly.

I think maybe sicillian buttercup? I saw some pics on feathersite that looked similar in coloring, and they have that wonderful buttercup comb. I don't know how to post a link, but maybe you can google sicillian buttercups?
