My little girl, Drew passed away. Is there something special I need to do with the body? My son & I were just going to run outside and bury her in a little cardboard "coffin". Everybody else seems to be just fine.
Was it a chick or an adult? I always recommend autopsying if it was a mature bird who died of an unknown cause. If it was a chick or you are unwilling to autopsy, you can just bury it. If you want something to remember her by, consider planting a small plant overtop her, it will be able to make good use of the nutrients in her body and provide some pretty scenery and a remembrance.
I made her a quick pretty cardboard coffin. It was a chick, would have been 1 week this Wed. My son & I went out and he dug a hole for her. I will have to think of something to mark the spot. I don't do well with flowers.
