When they molt, they don't like others touching them. I have one pitiful, pin feathers sticking out all over and she is roosting in the nest. I left her, poor thing, she looks like something the cat drug in.

Thanks so much! We did actually re-do a little. We raised the second roosting bar to the same height and all is well in the hen house again! YayyyyI have 10 hens. Don't know if this is helpful but this is my setup for our coop. They all seem to do just fine on one roosting bar. If I did have two roosting bars, I would definitely make them the same height.
