My New Coop

I've learned so much from y'all that I decided that I had to upgrade my coop, and perhaps add on to my flock.

I went crazy indepth on my BYC page (click the link under my name). So I'm going to go for the lite version here.

Little Mama, we had to use the flashing (metal strip). We get really bad rainstorms with high wind, quite often. The flashing not only helps prevent rot, but it also keeps the water from being pushed into the coop through the seams.

We've had 3 storms since the coop was finished, and no leaks!

I'll have to take another picture today. I did get around to putting the first coat of primer on it. So it looks more finished now.

You might want to beef up the latch on the people door, though, so Rocky Raccoon doesn't come ah visitin'.
