Actually, she (and the other ducks) were in their pen with three separate water containers AND their pool, and by 3 pm when I noticed that no one was drinking or in the pool, I went and touched the water and it was TOO HOT! Even in the kiddie pool! It had been in the 90s for a few hours and I guess the glare (it's...glare-y here on the coast of NE Florida) heated the water up too hot! And I realized that if this happened yesterday, then it's possible that this "hot water by the afternoon" scenario has been happening the last 4 or 5 days when our temps got really high. This is horrible, I know! I don't know why I didn't think to check their water! So it looks like I'm either going to need to put up some kind of sail/tarp shade over part of the duck pen and put their water and pool under it, or just make sure to change the water in the pool AND the drinking basins 2 or 3 times per day! Gosh darn Florida is so hot sometimes.
