My rooster is veary protective over silkie roo

I have a leg horn and a silkie rooster that grew up together my leg horn is alfa and doesnt care if i pick up hens but... if i pick up my silkie roo he huffs and puffs flaps his wings and throws fit till we put him down.Never heard of rooster being more protective over another rooster other then hens.
