People are looking for younger hens/pullets. Sold 3, 3 month old Jersey Giant cross pullets for $5 each last year. They went pretty quick.

Nobody's really wanting to buy, or take free cockerels/roosters. Tried quite a few times.

I do sell eggs though.

Yes, they make good slow roasting birds, or soup birds due to that. Oldest bird we butchered was close to 10yrs old.
