update this morn 16 are out and 4 are confirmed Nn with 2 more talking in their shells

Ok numbers updates.... 5 Turkens hatched, 1 appears to be NN the others are Nn. 2 are from my green egg laying turken hen and are dark colored! I will see about decent pics later. Whew over all 18 babies from 28 eggs.. oh and one maybe still in the bator.

I ended up with 5 turkens this hatch...2 turned out like the chocolate looking one and the other 2 look buff or maybe white.

I finally butchered my NN/Dorking cockerel. The meat was succulent and delicious...not quite as good as the pure Dorking, but much easier to process.

Hey, going to reply here to share something. My pretty lacy girl, that is granddaughter to one of yours, lays a pretty blue egg, just like her mama. Photo shows her egg behind the front olive egg. I know, doesn't look like an olive egg color in the photo, but it is!
