My husband is building the run right now and before he makes anymore cuts, I want to make sure we're building it high enough. Is 2' 1", or 25" tall enough?

Thanks!

Your run should be as big as you can make it and still be secure. You want them to get exercise, Right? I've seen them approx 20" high 24" wide and 48" long. It's just not much room to run around.

It's up to you...

This will be 5' long, 3' wide, and 2' tall... I just wanted to make sure their heads wouldn't scrape the top. But when I looked at how high it would be I realized that there's no way the hens are that tall.

And yes, I'm aware that this isn't huge, by any means, but we have a tiny yard and that's really all the space I could dedicate for the run... the house is about 3' x 3'.

Another plus is that on nice days they will be able to free range in the backyard, since we have a 6' privacy fence... when we're out there with them, of course.

Thanks for your help!
