I am very new to raising chickens but I love it!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

I have five ~5 week old chicks and 3 ~1 year old layers

(3) What breeds do you have?

The five chicks (the “Babies”) are
Johnny Bravo - Buff Orpington
Kerrigan - Buff Orpington
Earl Grey - Sapphire Splash
Magneto - Silkie x Leghorn
Bernadette - Gold Laced Wyandotte

The three hens (the “Ladies”) are
Bunny - Easter egger mix
Black Phyllis - Random black sex link
Merriweather - ISA brown

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

I love how they all have unique personalities

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I am a painter, and I also love playing video games

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I currently work as a librarian and have a puggle/OEB mix named Cujo who is like the light of my life. My boyfriend of almost 6 years and I are raising these chicks/chickens together

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

For the past month of raising the babies, this site showing up in my google results has been my #1 greatest resource and has been so informative and helpful, I figured I better join eventually

Attached is a photo of Earl Grey looking ridiculous, we are starting to suspect he is a rooster lol
