Hey everyone,
My names Eric and I'm new to the forum. I'd like to share my first coop build and first time keeping chickens.
I am a contractor, so 90% of my materials for the run and coop came from my stockpile of extra materials from jobs. The coop footprint is 7ft x 7ft x 6.5ft high and the framed part of the run is 7x7, with it continuing under the coop for extra room and shade. It has one window that opens for ventilation, as well as ventilated roof soffit around the entire coop and vented roof ridge.
I will be getting 6 Chanteclers, hopefully by the weekend if I get this thing finished up. Realistically, how many chickens would comfortably live in my set up. Just kind of curious about how big I could go in the future.
Please make any suggestions or comments!!!!

Assuming you live in a moderate climate, the coop can hold about 12.

Is the run going to extend under the coop (sounds like that's the plan)? Assuming yes, the run can hold about 10 max. If you're thinking of expanding the flock in the future (let's say from 6 to 12) I'd urge you to consider expanding the run as well, because integration really needs more space to go smoothly.

How high is the clearance there? Looks pretty low for under coop access... can you actually fit down there?

Yes the run continues under the coop. Its 18" high I can get underneath, but I could Jack it up to make it higher?
Im not looking to sell eggs as an income so Its not a forsure thing to expand the flock. I'd go to 9 at most. Extending the run is no issue either

Pretty nice!
Odd looking soffit with no fascia,
can we get a better peek at that?
What is the run frame material?
Some good reads for newbs linked in my signature,
let me know if you can't see or open them.

Oh, and..... Welcome to BYC! @ColdSpringsChickens
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

Updated location, I'm in ontario Canada. The run frame is one of those canvas outdoor garages that I shrunk down to make fit. The reason for no fascia is because I wanted to keep as short of structure with 6ft head clearance. And the door needs to swing out so the fascia would interfere with that. I'll post some pictures tomorrow of the other side that's not done so you can see better.

So tall enough for birds but that's about it. When fencing in that area, I'd consider adding some doors or some sort of access panel so you can reach in there from different sides if needed in case you need to grab an injured bird, an egg in the wrong spot, etc.

I know you already have the run all set up but might want to extend it now, instead of having to do so later. The birds will never complain about having more space, but having less space does increase likelihood of behavioral issues.

Yeah pretty much, I wanted to create a bit of a hideaway where they would feel safe. I do like the access panel idea I'll do that on the backside, there will be stairs below the door so it wont work there. I dont mind crawling around I'm still young haha. I will also extend the run, but what are we talking, I don't want to make it massive and takeover the yard.

Man it was windy out there today! Got some more done on the coop. Made the chicken door, roosts inside the coop, insulated/vapour barrier and extended the run to 10ft as recommended by @rosemarythyme. Such a fun project!
@aart here's a picture of the soffit/no fascia
