(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm new-ish to chickens. We had a flock of 15 when I was in school and I loved them! I'm excited to get back into it and introduce my toddlers to it.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None. I've been doing the research and I'm about to take the plunge.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I was going to get Rhode Island Reds but now I'm thinking Buff Orpington or Ameraucana. It may come down to what pullets are immediately available.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs, and having an outdoor chore. I love being outside.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I crochet, and I have two toddlers which may as well be a hobby.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm married with toddlers. I work in environmental consulting. I'm from the south and Maryland is the furthest north I've ever lived. I've been here for 9 months. Thankfully it was a mild first winter!

I found the site while searching for chicken info. I joined to find MORE chicken info.
