hello! I am a new chicken owner and right now I have two chickens. One hen is a silkie named Morty (she had a brother named Rick, who is enjoying his life at a friends farm being able to be loud as he pleases.) the other is a baby chick, who I feel is a hen because of the coloring on her head. Her name is Blossom. I’m pretty much here to gain information to raise happy, healthy chickens! I also have no clue what breed Blossom is....I’d love to find out. Right now Morty is about a year old, and Blossom is about 2-3 months old. I received both of these chickens as chicks from a local pet shop. They have their best guesses on what breed Blossom is, but I forgot the name they said she was. Anyway! I’m excited to be here and hope to learn as much as I can!
