Hi! I'm a new member from Marengo IL. My family just got our first 4 chickens on 4/13/24- supposedly all hens. We have a Black Australorp, a Silver Laced Wyandotte, and two Barred Rocks.
The Wyandotte is a little skittish and reserved right now but the australorp and barred rocks are already so incredibly sweet and social!
My family is really looking forward to fresh eggs and our first baby steps into farm life.
I came across this forum while searching for coop roof ventilation insight and found the community genuinely friendly and helpful (seems harder and harder to find these days). I'm looking forward to learning all I can on keeping our girls happy and healthy.
