Hi - my husband is set on having chickens in our backyard (whether legal or illegal) but we're still trying to find out if they are legal here or not. I am trying to avoid calling the township because I don't want to call attention to it if it is illegal - and I can't find the information anywhere on the net! Does anyone else live here or nearby and know the answer?

Anyway - I look forward to learning how to best care for our soon-to-be brood!

It's better to know for sure, before you get started, and getting the word straight from the municipal code is safest. You can try looking at your city's web page - most have the codes posted. Or . . .
Try calling and identifying yourself as someone who's thinking of buying a home in the neighborhood . . . "before I move there I need to know if my birds are welcome".
Fingers crossed for you that they are!!!

I think more and more twsp are allowing chickens (not many allow roos). But I think the only way you are going to find out is call the twsp
