Hello everyone! I am from Southeast Missouri. I joined a year ago with intensions of raising chickens for food and eggs. My husband had some major health issues, and we aborted the plan. Now the plan has changed slightly. Still wanting to raise dual chickens but I am opening a bakery and decided that I really want chickens more for layers than meat. I have purchased Black Australorps with hopes of them meeting the need for lots of eggs. Going to start over on educating myself since I am going with a different breed than I first picked out last year. They will not be here until April 7th so I feel like there is time for me to get everything lined out until then. Our coop and chicken run are on the way and hope to have it put together in 10 days from now. I know I will learn a lot and happy there are others here who are so helpful.
