These are my 1st ever batch of chicks. Started off with 12, had some accidents, had some infetiles, and ultimately ended up with 6.

I just wanted to share some pictures, I am so happy that they all hatched! These are 3 of the chicks, the rest are black like the one in the picture.

Also, I would love to hear what breed you think they are!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you're as smitten as I am!

Aw! Looks like at least a couple EEs. Any feathered legs? What are the comb types? Do any have 5 toes?

I dont see any feathered legs, or 5 toes! I was so hoping for a silkie 😭😭😭 she told me there was one silkie egg in there, but I must have lost it. I'm still waiting to see if maybe one of them will surprise me LOL

I'll make it a bit easier LOL these are the breeds she told me she has. She said the rooster was an ameracauna I think.
" Americanas, golden and silver laced Wyandotte’s, barred rock, golden comet, and a bunch of silkies"

The black/blue one looks to be part silkie.

Day 5! This one chickie has more advanced feather growth than the rest. Is this normal for 5 days old?

It might be a pullet. Some breeds fatter out faster though. It's very cute. Is it an EE?

Thank you! It looks like a golden laced wyandotte chick, but she said the rooster was an Ameraucana. So, would that count as an easter egger? I know she does have golden laced wyandottes. She (the chick) has those Ameraucana puffs for cheeks LOL

Possibly. If it is an Ameracauna roo, the hen could be a lot of different breeds and still produce a similar colored chick. It will be a surprise!

Update! 11 days old.

I marked the ones that I think are going to be hens and roosters. I think I'm only going to have one Roo , but this is my first time hatching, so we'll see what happens. The one I marked Roo just looks like one to me, especially compared to the others. His comb is different, and his feather growth is slower.

I did not include all of the chick as four of them are black, and look pretty similar. I posted two black on here, one that I think is a cockerel and one that I think is a Pullet.

I also posted 2 pictures of their feet. I think I have three that have black feet, and the rest are yellow or whatever you want to call it. I would love to hear what you think they will be when they get bigger, I included possible breeds in a comment above, but it's possible that she has more than she told me.

Hope you enjoy the progress!
